General Comment - This place was fab, especially recommend the lamb shank and tuna. It has recently changed ownership - they have undertaken a refurbishment that has greatly improved what was the old Scarlet Pimpernel.
DEFINITELY WORTH A TRY!

Visited for lunch today - two courses for £7.95. The Brisket I had was so soft and tender it melted in the mouth served on a good sized portion of horseradish mash, and a rich beef gravy. My vegetables arrived on a separate platter and were fresh brocolli and carrots and frozen peas. No critisms there they were perfectly cooked for me. Just ready enough and not overcooked.
The flavours of the meat and potatoes were wonderful and there was enough food to satisfy my hearty appetite. We arrived at 10 to 2 and service stops at 2 but we were served promply and with a smile the food came quickly and was hot. The ambience of the place is most pleasant and has separate seating arrangements for those with children - which I like.
2nd time we've been there - been pleased and content both times. We'll definately go again.
